Ashwin completed his MBA from Armstrong University, Berkeley, USA and joined the business in 1991. During the same year, the Indian Government lifted the restriction on import and export from India. Having lived in the US for a few years, Ashwin started the firm’s international trade by importing green peas from the US and exporting rice from India in 1992.

This set the foundation of international trading for the firm. With his in-depth knowledge of India’s grain trade, coupled with a vast knowledge of the international markets, Ashwin led the firm to become one of India’s biggest rice exporters. Today the firm has customers/suppliers in over 85 countries.
